Gina Kane

Known for her innovative approach to beauty, international makeup artist Gina Kane is recognised for the diversity of her beauty looks, the flawless quality of her skin finish and the committed and creative mood with which she approaches her work.

A Manchester native, Gina moved to London and fast became a name to know – building her portfolio editorially as both a makeup and body artist, working across a mix of mediums and styles. Her work is driven by a love of colour… of artistry itself and the ephemeral drama of creating fantasy characters from scratch for the day.

Firmly involved in the creative process on every project, Kane works to create concepts and moodboards, even starting at the literal drawing board to help define her vision before the job begins.

She has produced editorial work for the likes of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Elle, Vanity Fair, ID, Numero, L’Officiel, GQ, Wonderland, Muse, Paper Magazine and more, while her client list includes Chanel, Burberry, Giorgio Armani, McQueen, Givenchy, Chopard, Swarovski, Rimmel, Dove, L’Oreal, Avon, House of Fraser Beauty and Liberty Beauty. Gina has a long-standing relationship with Chanel as a Guest Professor and Make-up Expert and also works closely with Burberry on photo shoots, shows and VIP events.

For the last 5 years Gina has become increasingly popular with celebrity clients, creating notable red carpet looks for Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Iris Law, Hera Hilmer, Sienna Miller, Natalia Dyer, Claudia Schiffer, Emily Mortimer, Victoria Beckham, Jenna Coleman, Suki Waterhouse, Cara Delevingne, Bel Powley, Rita Ora, Lily James, Olga Kurylenko, Elisa Sedanoui, Alexandra Shipp, and Lily Allen… to name a few.

A master of invention, Gina’s trademark is her ability to adapt and think in fresh, new ways. Whether through ‘happy accident’ or meticulously planned image making, the artist’s strength lies in her interpretation of creative briefs to produce boundary-pushing work, with a creative influence that continues to build in momentum.
